PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY – AN OVERVIEW
The Intelemetrix technology has three main components:

The Interval Data Collector (IDC) (a data logger) is an active device that collects data readings from the utility meter. The IDC is either attached to an existing meter or installed as a component of another meter, and can collect information from either analogue or digital meters. It should be noted that the IDC is not a meter. Rather, it is a data collector that is attached to a meter.
The IDC transmits the data on request to the Data Concentrator (DC). The data concentrator is the local network hub and can be linked to up to many IDC’s. The data concentrator gathers the information from the data loggers and transmits it over a GPRS network to the third component, a central Data Store.
The Data Store collates all information for analysis and use in producing the required interval reporting and billing information.
Our solution can be linked into in-home displays and billing systems. These are either off-the-shelf products or can be provided by outsourced providers. |
