‘Intelemetrix’ is a combination of the words ‘Intelligent’ (as in its computer meaning of having built-in electronic processing and data storage ability) and ‘Telemetry’ (meaning the science or activity of gathering data about remote occurrences and transmitting that data electronically).

As the energy industry faces the challenge of increased demand and an inadequate long-term supply of generated energy, industry regulators are driving initiatives for more intelligent methods of managing customers, energy usage and energy networks.

Intelemetrix has developed remote monitoring technologies that can read utility meters, capture usage data in defined time increments, record and store the data locally and then transmit the usage data via wireless communication to a host for onward data consolidation producing valuable energy information data which may then be used for billing consumers.

The energy information data gained from household, commercial or industrial usage may be used to inform customers of cost saving energy plans which will directly contribute to reductions in energy usage and indirectly contribute to reductions in carbon emission.
